No. Higher Source Collective is not health insurance. Health sharing is not an insurance company, product or policy, and it is not regulated as insurance by state insurance departments. Members are not “insured,” there are no insurance premiums, and the sharing of medical bills is voluntary among members — payment of any particular bill is not guaranteed.
Health sharing memberships do not have to meet the requirements that apply to Affordable Care Act (ACA) health insurance plans. Please review the program guidelines carefully before joining and consider whether health sharing is the right fit for your situation.
